Instead of trying to get things done we have become investigators trying to figure out if the files are problematic, if the OS is the problem, is it the Mac version, etc. Off course there were always minor bugs or something but the core functionality of the service was never endangered. In my 13 years of experience with dropbox this is the first time I'm having serious problems with the service. I'm fearful what to expect in the morning.Īnyway as a Dropbox user since 2008 I'd like to add a couple of things. everything had to be done via the web interface so this leads me to believe that the problem is still here and it is not Mac related. But in those 8 hours the app was unusable. It synced and indexed for about 8 hours or so and then it sorted out by itself. Again this was the case in both Windows and Mac version. Yesterday I thought it finally everything sorted out by itself but this morning the app was continuously indexing or syncing where there was nothing to be synced. The problem started with the Mac version but soon after I experienced it in the windows version as well. Thing I've done is the steps described but to no avail.
